Recently, the special issue of "Large-Scale Energy Storage for Carbon Neutrality", co-edited by Liu Ke, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southern University of Science and Technology, Foreign Academician of the Australian National Academy of Engineering, and Ding Yulong, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Professor at the University of Birmingham, was published in the Journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Li Junguo, Associate Professor of Research at the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southern University of Science and Technology, and Zhang Haoran, Assistant Professor at Peking University, serve as the Executive Editors of the Special Topic.
This topic focuses on the latest research results and progress in large-scale energy storage under the background of carbon neutrality, focusing on exploring how to achieve large-scale storage of renewable energy such as wind and solar energy, how to solve the security and economic problems faced by large-scale integration and grid connection of renewable energy, and how to improve the efficiency of power systems and regional energy systems.
It is reported that Engineering is the main journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, founded in 2015. It has received active support from UNESCO, the Council of the International Academy of Engineering and Technical Sciences, national engineering academies of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and domestic and foreign experts and scholars. The journal aims to provide a high-level platform for the publication and exchange of major achievements in engineering technology, and to explore the hot and difficult issues in the development of engineering technology, looking forward to the future of engineering technology development, etc., in order to promote faster development of engineering technology, better benefit humanity, and create a better future.
