NEOM Green Hydrogen, which is building the world's largest green hydrogen plant in Saudi Arabia, announced on Monday that it has completed financing for the world's largest green hydrogen production facility, which will require a total investment of $8.4 billion, equivalent to RMB 59.2 billion yuan.

NEOM Green Hydrogen stated in a statement that the total value of the project is $8.4 billion, with $6.1 billion in non recourse financing provided by 23 local, regional, and international banks and financial institutions.
NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint venture established by ACWA Power, Air Products Company and NEOM. The company plans to build the world's largest green hydrogen plant in 2026 to produce green ammonia on a large scale.
The joint venture company NGHC announced on Monday that it has also signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreement with Air Products, which is the designated contractor and system integrator for the entire facility. Conversely, air product companies have signed significant contracts with various technology and construction partners.
This large hydrogen plant will integrate up to 4 gigawatts (GW) of solar and wind energy and produce up to 600 tons of carbon free hydrogen per day in the form of green ammonia by the end of 2026.
Earlier this year, ACWA Power, one of the developers of green hydrogen facilities, announced that it plans to build three more large-scale green hydrogen projects in Saudi Arabia.
The other two factories may be adjacent to the NEOM hydrogen project, and the company is still searching for another location for a third factory.
