On November 29th, the 2 million kilowatt PV project in Kubuqi, Mengxi Base, located in the hinterland of the Kubuqi Desert in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, successfully generated power, and the one megawatt perovskite ground PV power station built to support the project was also successfully connected to the grid.
This is the world's first commercially-operated megawatt-level perovskite ground PV project, covering an area of 40 acres, using 11200 pieces of perovskite independently developed and manufactured by domestic enterprises α Components.
As a new type of solar cell material, perovskite has the advantages of high efficiency, stability, and low cost, and is one of the important directions for future photovoltaics. The landing of this photovoltaic desertification control project provides an important example for promoting the application and development of perovskite photovoltaic modules, and exploring their large-scale commercial operation.
This is currently the world's largest perovskite grid connected ground power station, truly realizing the large-scale manufacturing and application of perovskite photovoltaic technology. The successful grid connection this time has put perovskite technology into a substantial commercial stage, greatly accelerating the industrialization process.
